Baker’s yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) cell wall is primarily composed of β-Glucans and mannan oligosaccharides (MOS). Both of these ingredients act as prebiotic fibers which may support healthy digestion, gut health and robust immune resiliency.
Yeast-derived β-Glucans are β(1,3)-linked D-glucose polysaccharides with long β(1,6) branches. Yeast and fungal β-Glucans may have an immune-boosting and leaky gut relieving effect due to their unique ability to tighten the gaps between cell walls in the intestines, which may help deter the absorption of inflammatory agents and pathogens that might otherwise enter the bloodstream.
Yeast-derived mannan oligosaccharides (MOS) have an α(1,6) linked D-glucose polysaccharide backbone and α(1,2) and α(1,3) linked branches. MOS have been shown to have beneficial probiotic effects possibly on gut health and improved ability to absorb nutrients in hundreds of studies across many species.
This product is 200 grams [7.05 oz] of pure yeast cell wall, standardized to contain ≥20% Yeast β-Glucans and ≥20% Mannan Oligosaccharides in a transparent, reclosable plastic jar with an integrated Safety Seal and Shrinkband.
Also included are the certificate of analysis for the individual yeast cell wall batch and a 1.7cc measuring scoop which measures approximately 900-1100mg of yeast cell wall.
