What is the history of Phenibut?
Phenibut, with the chemical name β-Phenyl-γ-aminobutyric acid, is sometimes also called Noofen or Citrocard. It was originally developed in Russia at the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences. It is included in Russian astronauts’ medical kits as an anti-stress and anti-anxiety substance that can be taken without affecting performance.
Why do people take Phenibut?
People mostly use phenibut because of its anti-stress and anti-anxiety effects. At moderate doses, phenibut is able to increase the user’s mood, and it allows the user to feel more sociable and relaxed. It’s a great substance for people living a fast-paced, stressful life, who need a little time to chill out and relax.
People also use Phenibut at higher doses to help make falling asleep easier and to aid in a healthy, full night’s sleep. At higher doses Phenibut seems to affect the exact same regions of the brain as alcohol and certain tranquilizers, which is why it is so helpful in promoting restful sleep.
How does Phenibut work?
The chemical phenibut is very similar to an important neurotransmitter known as GABA. Neurotransmitters are chemicals in our brains that can be thought of as ‘keys’ to unlock certain receptors, or ‘locks’. Phenibut unlocks mostly GABA-B receptors and some GABA-A receptors, at higher doses. It is one of a large number of chemical substances that work in a similar way. Other similar substances include alcohol, benzodiazepines, baclofen and GHB.
How can I buy Phenibut?
Today, phenibut is sold online and in health stores around the world as a calming and Nootropic substance. It is most commonly sold as crystal phenibut HCl, the ‘salt’ form, which has a bitter taste and is easily dissolvable in water. You can also buy the stronger, slightly more expensive powder phenibut FAA (free amino acid form), which is said to have no taste but is not as easily dissolved as phenibut HCl. A great place to purchase phenibut is from Liftmode.com. We stock high-quality products, have an excellent standard of service and ship free of charge to US locations.
Is Phenibut dangerous?
Phenibut has a really long ‘half-life’, meaning the effects last for quite a long time. Expect at least 5-6 hours of stress-relief, increased mood and sociability when taking phenibut. It is always recommended to use phenibut no more than twice a week. This is called cycling and is because of the way that phenibut lasts for so long in the body. If you take it too often, your body builds up a tolerance, and the effects won’t be nearly as strong as the previous dose. This is the reason that people sometimes increase their dosage for the same effects, which is highly recommended not to do.
One important thing to remember is that Phenibut affects the same parts of the brain as alcohol and benzodiazepines, and may interfere with certain prescription medications. If you’re on prescription medications or benzodiazepines please consult your physician before trying Phenibut. If you plan on taking Phenibut, don’t use alcohol for at least 8 hours before or after using Phenibut. We’d recommend waiting at least a day. You probably won’t want to drink, though, as Phenibut has very similar effects to alcohol, and some people even use Phenibut instead of alcohol, for the great effects without the side effects of drinking.
