Erythritol, a sugar alcohol is a naturally occurring low calorie sweetener found naturally in some fruits and some fermented foods. It is produced industrially through the fermentation of glucose with the yeast Moniliella pollinis.
Erythritol is approved for use in food and beverages in 60 countries, and at 70% the sweetness and 6% the calories, is an ideal alternative to sugar. Erythritol is also resistant to metabolization by oral bacteria and therefore does not contribute to plaque, tooth decay, and other oral hygiene problems caused by high sugar diets. Erythritol is generally well-tolerated, though at doses of over 0.7g/kg (43g for an average 62kg human) it may cause gastrointestinal upset.
This product is 200 grams [7.05 oz] of pure Erythritol, standardized to contain ≥95% Erythritol in a transparent, reclosable plastic jar with an integrated protective disc lid liner and tamper evident Shrinkband.
Also included are the certificate of analysis for the individual Erythritol batch and a 17cc measuring scoop which measures approximately 1000mg of Erythritol.
