Mesembrine is the most notable psychoactive alkaloid present in Kanna. Mesembrine acts as a VMAT-2 upregulator, PDE4 inhibitor, and a mild reversible AChE inhibitor. VMAT-2 upregulation appears to be Mesembrine’s predominant mechanism of action.

Kanna Elixir - Mountain Maple Flavor

This is my first time taking Kanna and so far I got no noticable effects from this elixir. I’ve tried 4 ml drops and single drops. I’ve heard that it needs to build up in your system first though

As a dietary supplement, take 1-2 servings up to twice daily. Do not exceed the recommended serving size. Do not use if pregnant, nursing, or using any prescription medications – especially MAOIs or SSRIs.
