A True Story From a Longtime Customer and Employee

After nearly a three year lay-off, I'm happily an employee of LiftMode again! and I'd love to share a true story of my experience with the company — not as an employee, but as a longtime customer of their online store as well.

Hurricane Isaac and an Unexpected Problem

Living in New Orleans, they say there are two speeds: "Stop! And mold!" This was hilarious to me before surviving Hurricane Katrina. However, Hurricane Isaac undid post-Katrina roof repairs, and a very small leak was discovered in the living room. Without the proper documentation for FEMA replacement or repairs, the fix would take time. Meanwhile, moisture was soaking into the insulation on my "beams exposed" ceiling.

3-D black mold began to grow on one of the beams in the living room. After finally accepting what it was and taking steps to remove it, a long, hard battle with mold began. I had to throw away clothing, furniture, and more to get the mold and mildew out of my home.

A Stressful Season

I went through a genuinely tough time during all of this and faced serious levels of stress. Between the physical work of the cleanup and the emotional stress and uncertainty of fearing black mold infection. I wasn't feeling like myself at all, but never sought a formal diagnosis for how I was feeling. In fact, I'm not describing any particular medical condition here as I wasn’t diagnosed with any. I am nonetheless sharing what that time of my life was like.

I paid close attention to my own wellness routine — rest, nutrition, managing stress — and began to look into supplements that might support my body through a hard stretch. That's when Black Seed Oil (Nigella sativa) and Quercetin both came up in my research.

Finding Quercetin at LiftMode

Working for LiftMode.com, I realized that among the cutting-edge supplements the company sells was Quercetin. Having access to it at low cost, especially with employee discounts, I added it to my daily routine alongside Black Seed Oil. Both of these came up in my own research as ingredients with a long-standing reputation for general wellness support

Individual results vary — this reflects my own experience and isn't a guarantee of how these products will affect anyone else, and it's not a substitute for medical care nor insinuation that either cured me of anything.

What I Can (and Can't) Say

While I'm not offering medical advice, and I'm not claiming that Quercetin or Black Seed Oil treated or cured anything. I can say that quercetin has a long-standing reputation for supporting the body's normal antioxidant, immune, and circulatory function [1][2], and having it as part of my daily routine has become a genuine part of my overall health and well-being ever since.

Finally Felt Like Myself Again

Gradually, my energy came back, and I started feeling clearer-headed and more comfortable day to day. I was doing several things at once — resting more, eating better, working on stress — so I can't say for certain which change made the biggest difference, but adding Quercetin and Black Seed Oil to my routine was part of that overall shift for me. I'm still a happy employee, supporter, and fan of LiftMode.com, and grateful for their transparency, quality standards, and affordability.

More Than Quercetin LiftMode Products Enhanced My Life

This online company has introduced me to numerous healthy supplements I'd never heard of before, and they continue to add more to their catalog each year. Many of their products have become part of how I support my energy, focus, drive, and calm.

Huperzine A, for example, is a supplement some research suggests may help support cognitive performance, memory, and learning.

Quercetin: Hides in Plain Sight in Every Day Food Items

Quercetin is a flavonol many people have never heard of as a standalone supplement, but it's present in some of the raw foods we consume every day. Red onions, for example, contain quercetin and often contain more flavonols than white onions So, we tend to think of red onions as "healthier" than white onions. [2].

Safety Information: Quercetin and Black Seed Oil

Both ingredients mentioned in this story are generally well tolerated by healthy adults, but a few things are worth knowing before adding either one to your routine.

Quercetin

  • Medication interactions: Quercetin may interact with certain medications processed by the liver, including some antibiotics and immune-modulating drugs, and may have a mild additive effect with blood thinners. If you take any prescription medication, check with your doctor first.
  • Digestive sensitivity: Mild stomach upset or headache has been reported, particularly at higher servings.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding: There isn't much safety data specific to pregnancy or nursing, so check with your doctor before use.

Black Seed Oil (Nigella sativa)

  • Blood sugar medications: Black seed oil may lower blood sugar, so combining it with diabetes medication could have an additive effect. Anyone with diabetes or a blood sugar condition should check with a doctor first.
  • Blood pressure and blood-thinning medications: Some research suggests black seed oil may modestly affect blood pressure and clotting, which is worth knowing if you're on blood pressure medication, blood thinners, or have upcoming surgery.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Black seed oil is not recommended for use by pregnant or breastfeeding individuals.

Taking Them Together

Combining any two supplements makes it harder to know which one is responsible for any effect you notice — good to keep in mind, as this story itself points out. As always, start with one at a time when possible, and loop in your doctor if you're managing a health condition or taking medication, especially blood sugar or blood pressure medication given both ingredients' potential effects there.

What LiftMode Customers Are Asking (FAQ’s)

Food sources are great, but getting a consistent, concentrated amount from diet alone is difficult for most people — a supplement offers a more predictable serving.

Many customers do combine the two, as reflected above. As always, individual results vary, and combining supplements is worth mentioning to your doctor, especially if you take other medication.

Quercetin's bioavailability is a common topic of interest, which is part of why some people take it alongside meals containing fat, or alongside other antioxidant-support ingredients.

As with most antioxidant and immune-support ingredients, benefits tend to build gradually with consistent daily use rather than appearing overnight.
