An extremely long history of use suggests that using the fermented plant is safe and effective, but does not provide absolute proof. There is not enough research about the safety of Kanna Extract powder for pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Kanna Safety and Cautions

Keep out of reach of those under the age of 18! We do not recommend using this product more than in amounts exceeding 2 servings per day or 12 servings per week at the recommended serving size.
