Supplementing with this product is likely to be safe, taken at dosages between 600–1,800 mg/day. N-Acetyl L-Cysteine may cause side effects including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation.

WARNING: Do not take N-Acetyl L-Cysteine with a class of medications called nitrates, especially Nitroglycerin.
