Astaxanthin 5% Powder

Astaxanthin has an unusual antioxidant activity, which has led to its widespread use as a supplement. It may protect cells against the harmful effects of reactive oxygen species (ROS).

Anecdotally, Astaxanthin is used for a variety of additional health benefits. It can be taken to support healthy eyes and vision; to help support a healthy circulatory system; to support male sexual health; to promote healthy digestion and a healthy gut; to support muscle recovery after exercise; and to promote and support healthy-looking skin.

Astaxanthin is also a red food dye, with the E number E161J. Although it is a carotenoid, it is not converted to vitamin A in the body. It is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA as a dietary supplement.

This product is standardized to 5+% pure Astaxanthin in a transparent, recloseable plastic jar with an integrated Safety Seal and Shrinkband.

Also included are the certificate of analysis for the individual Astaxanthin batch and a 0.625 cc measuring scoop which measures approximately 200mg of 5% Astaxanthin.
