Baicalein (5,6,7 trihydroxyflavone) is the primary active component from the Baikal Skullcap (Blue Skullcap) and is the aglycone derivative of Baicalin. It has the chemical formula C15H10O5 and a molecular mass of 270,240 g/mol.

This compound has 2-3 times better efficacy (in terms of absorption) than Baicalin and is best known for its antioxidant and circulatory system-supporting effects. Anecdotally, some users report mild stress-relief and relaxing effects when using this supplement.

Baicalein is an alkaloid compound extracted from the Skullcap plant with stronger efficacy than Baicalin. It is considered likely safe for use at the suggested serving size. Baicalein may interact with some medications, including alcohol. Do not exceed the recommended serving size.

Warning: There is not enough research about the safety of Baicalein for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
