Yeast Beta Glucans
Yeast Beta Glucans
Beta-Glucans (β-Glucans) are a type of polysaccharide that are found in the cell walls of bacteria, yeast, and fungi. The source of the Beta-Glucan is significant for its structure and properties. Yeast β-Glucans have the molecular structure of a long chain β -1,6 branched β-1,3 -glucan – significantly different to β-Glucans found in bacteria, cereals, or mushrooms. Yeast Beta-Glucans (YBGs) have been studied extensively for their potential to support the human immune system. Yeast Beta-Glucans are known to bind to pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) on immune cells, to improve immune response. Similarly, YBGs have beneficial effects on CD4+ and CD8+ T cell concentration along with changes in LPS-stimulated IFN-γ, IL-2, IL-4, and IL-7. Numerous clinical studies on human participants have pointed to the immune-strengthening benefits on YBGs. Recent research also indicates potential benefits on serum blood lipid levels, although more research is necessary to fully understand the significance of these effects. - Promotes a Healthy Gut - Supports Immune System Function - Prebiotic Fiber
Rutin
Rutin
Rutin, also called *rutoside*, "quercetin-3-O-rutinoside" and *sophorin*, found in many fruits, grains and vegetables, including Buckwheat (pictured to the left). A flavonol, similar to Quercetin: the two are invariably found alongside each other in their natural sources. Researchers have found several important benefits including antioxidant neuro- and vasoprotective effects. It has been studied for its potential antiviral and antibiotic effects. - May support healthy cytokine levels - Promotes a healthy circulatory system - Extensively studied for antimicrobial activity
Reishi Dual Extract
Reishi Dual Extract
Reishi (Lingzhi, Ganoderma lingzhi) is a red-colored ‘bracket fungus that grows as a parasite on trees with a distinct fan-like appearance. It is endemic to the hot, tropical regions of Asia and has long been used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Reishi mushroom contains several important compounds, including triterpenoids, polysaccharides, and peptidoglycans, which all contribute to a healthy body. - Promotes A Healthy Immune System - Supports Gut Health & Vitality - Improves Mood & Energy Levels
Galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS)
Galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS)
Galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) are a type of long-chain carbohydrate that is produced naturally through the enzymatic conversion of lactose from cow or human breast milk. A powerful prebiotic, GOS acts as a substrate for the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut, such as Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus, while decreasing the abundance of harmful bacteria. GOS is recognized for its ability to modulate intestinal microbiota, regulate digestion, enhance mineral absorption, support the immune system and mitigate allergic responses. GOS is naturally sweet and with half the calories of sucrose, GOS can be used as a healthy sugar substitute.
