Boswellia Serrata Extract Benefits and Uses

Boswellia serrata - Indian Frankincense - is taken as a dietary supplement primarily for its perceived effect in reducing joint pain and improving overall bone and joint health. It is also commonly taken to alleviate menstrual pain.

Boswellia has four main acidic compounds that are thought to produce its benefits - especially related to anti-inflammatory effects. The most important of these is AKBA (Acetyl-11-keto-β-boswellic acid). Our Boswellia Serrata extract is standardized to 40+% AKBA.
