Carbomer U20 Powder

Carbomer U20 is a variety of Carbomer widely used in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries as a thickening, suspending, and emulsifying agent, that acts as a superior self-wetting rheology modifier with best-in-class electrolyte tolerance and clarity, capable of providing high viscosity with small usage levels. This white, fluffy, and odorless powder is a hydrophobically-modified cross-linked acrylate copolymer which offers many substantial benefits for formulators and marketers of personal care products - the polymer is exceptionally easy to use as it self-wets and disperses within minutes. This rheology modifier and stabilizer also provides electrolyte tolerance and unique sensory benefits in formulations. It can be used in systems with moderate surfactant content, making it an ideal choice for shampoos, body washes, gels, lotions, and creams. that helps to increase the viscosity and stability of a wide range of water based products, such as gels, shampoos, and lotions. Carbomer U20 is also a popular choice for suspending agents in aqueous formulations such as suspensions and emulsions, as it can help to keep particles and other ingredients suspended evenly throughout the product, helping to prevent settling and separation, leading to a more uniform and consistent product. Carbomer U20 can form sparkling clear aqueous gels or hydroalcoholic gels, is said to have properties compatible with skin health. Its short flow, non-drip properties are ideal to provide the desired texture, flow properties and body for topical applications. It can also be used as a gelling agent or suspension agent for industrial purposes where high viscosity is required. The recommended use level is 0.2 to 2.0 wt% in most applications.
