Description

Sacred Lotus Extract Powder Benefits and Uses

Sacred lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) has long been used as a food source and ingredient for traditional herbal remedies. Sacred lotus extract is believed to have antioxidant properties. The lotus plant contains many flavonoid and alkaloid compounds that may act as antioxidants. Sacred lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) plant parts contain neuroprotective agents that may interact with specific targets to offer a sense of calm tranquility, and benefit general health and well-being. The main properties of sacred lotus leaves are related to helping detox and remaining healthy.

Lotus Leaf is believed to help support healthy weight by boosting metabolism, supporting gut health, and reducing water retention. It may also help support stable healthy blood sugar levels and promote healthy digestion, which potentially further aids in weight management.

Our Lotus extract is standardized to contain more than 90% Nuciferine. Nuciferine is one of the more powerful active constituents of Lotus leaf, Lotus flowers, and Lotus seeds. In addition to the above overall health benefits, Nuciferine strongly supports relaxation, healthy and stable thinking patterns, and a calm, immersive mood.

Scientific Consensus

Sacred lotus extract powder is made from sacred lotus leaves and is considered possibly safe for most people at the recommended serving size. Side effects seem to be rare, but Lotus extract might cause mild sedation and rare allergic reactions such as skin itching in some people. When consuming higher quantities than recommended, users may experience nausea, upset stomach, more pronounced sleepiness or incoordination, or interaction with medications.

Further research is still needed to properly understand the significance of its benefits and adverse effects.

Warning: Overdose of nuciferine (in substantial excess of directed usage) may result in dizziness, euphoria, desire to lie down and rest strong somnolence, incoordination, disorientation, or confusion in addition to greater risk of side effects above - FOLLOW SERVING SIZE GUIDANCE AND DO NOT EXCEED!  DO NOT DRIVE OR OPERATE HEAVY MACHINERY UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF LOTUS EXTRACT.  There is not enough research about the safety of sacred Lotus extract for pregnant and breastfeeding women, who thus should not use Lotus. Do not use this supplement if you have any underlying medical conditions - especially people with diabetes or undergoing surgery - or if you are taking any medications, particularly psychotropic medications or substances, including stimulant, sedative / hypnotic, or antipsychotic medicines.

Lotus contains chemicals that seem to breakdown fat tissue. These effects might help with weight loss. It also contains flavonoids, such as quercetin, which may have anti-inflammatory effects. Nuciferine is an alkaloid found in lotus leaves. Nuciferine may help with weight loss by improving lipid levels, insulin secretion, and blood pressure. Nuciferine may help restore the balance of gut microbiota.

Calcium Phosphate

Calcium phosphate is a family of minerals and materials that contain calcium ions and inorganic phosphate anions. Calcium phosphate can be useful for people who need more calcium. Calcium and phosphate are critical to human physiology (e.g., neuromuscular function) and are also needed for skeletal mineralization. Calcium phosphate is the main inorganic constituent of biological hard tissues such as bone and teeth. It gives organs stability, hardness, and function. Calcium phosphate provides a source of calcium and phosphate ions to support remineralization of the teeth and bone homeostasis respectively.
